of a live interview with the owner Megan who is quite an entrepreneur:
Q:
Tell me Megan how did you get started in all this?
A:
My mother, Andrea has been making and
decorating cakes at home for about 30 years, so it is something that I’ve always
been around. While I was in college, I took the Wilton Decorating classes and
really got hooked. It’s great to be able to provide a centerpiece for all of
life’s little celebration, and I love when customers tell me that they taste
great too! (Megan made a delicious birthday cake for me – fresh fruit, white
chocolate straws and vanilla sponge cake).
Q:
Your cakes taste so different from those in grocery stores and your birthday
cakes are so much more creative. What is your secret?
A: We feel that ingredient selection is
of the utmost importance. We use an imported German chocolate, real butter,
homemade granola, and seasonal local produce when possible. We also have low
– fat items, salads and vegetarian dishes and sandwiches (their home made tuna
and Middle Eastern sandwiches are particularly good).
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: Our product line has increased since our opening early this year
and we have steadily grown. We now have several corporate accounts and do deliveries
for breakfast and lunch parties. Our Specialty cake business is really growing.
We can do cakes for birthdays, weddings, graduations etc. Next time you need
to have a unique and tasty cake made simply come in for a consultation and look
at pictures of our cakes that we have done. Our prices and products will surprise
and delight you.
